You don’t need to know what kind of session you need.

People come to Crossroads Reiki for many reasons: rest, reflection, personal growth, spiritual curiosity, life transitions, or simply the desire to pause and reconnect. You don’t have to arrive with a problem to solve or choose a technique before you come; the session can unfold around what feels appropriate in the moment.

New to Reiki?

Your first session can be simple.

You do not need experience with Reiki, a particular belief system, or the right words for why you are here. We can begin with a brief conversation about what brought you in, answer your questions, and talk through your preferences before the session begins.

What should I wear?

Wear whatever feels comfortable. Reiki sessions are experienced fully clothed.

Is there physical touch?

Reiki may be offered with light touch or with hands held above the body. Your comfort and preferences come first, and you can always ask for a hands-off session.

Do I need to believe in Reiki?

No. There is no belief requirement and no religious expectation. Crossroads offers non-denominational care and welcomes questions, curiosity, and skepticism.

What will I experience?

Every session is different. Some people notice deep relaxation, warmth, emotion, quiet, or subtle sensations; others simply experience time to rest. There is no particular response you are supposed to have.

Is Reiki medical treatment?

No. Reiki is a complementary wellness practice and is not a substitute for medical or mental health care, diagnosis, or treatment.

What happens when I arrive?

We’ll start with a brief conversation about what brings you in, any questions you have, and your preferences for touch or a hands-off session. You do not need to prepare anything in advance.

Will sound be part of my session?

It may be. Sound can be incorporated to support relaxation and stillness, but it is not required. Sessions are personalized, and you can always share your preferences.
